Screen Shot of Simulation

Screen shot is a few seconds after the start of the simulation. Generation #1, consisting of 72 individual Decision Making Turtles (DMTs), was created 11 time steps ago (35 time steps in each generation). Each DMT needs to eat food to gain energy, and must expend energy to move. If a DMT reaches zero energy they die, causing them to turn red and are then placed in the "graveyard" at the back of the board. Once the "Time Until Evolution" reaches zero a new population will be created from the old using a genetic algorithm. The statistics for the old generation, including the number of DMTs left alive at the end of the generation and the average age of all DMTs, will appear in the upper-left. This statistics will improve as the population evolves.

Users can adjust their view by tilting the board up or down, zooming in or out and moving north, east, south or west.
